Lesson 3 – Branding for your Business

Having a logo that reflects your business is very important and the more people that see it, the more they will connect it with your business and additionally it also sets you apart from your competition.

I would highly recommend that you have a designer do your logo for you as this ensures
that it is high quality and you will receive the different formats needed for various
platforms. Our prices start from £50 depending on the complexity of the logo.
Have a think what colours reflect your business? Most recognisable brands use no more
than two to three colours. Is the font you want to use readable?

This is a great image that shows what feelings/thoughts surround a colour…

Once you have your logo it is important that it is consistent across your advertising and platforms ie. website, social media etc.

You may then also want to start thinking about what other marketing materials you may want. Here are some examples:

  • Flyers
  • Business Cards
  • Roll Up Banners
  • Brochures
  • Outside signage
  • Promotional items
  • Reward stamp cards

What do you need to include on your marketing materials;

  • Name
  • Website address
  • Tagline (if you have one)
  • Phone Number
  • Email Address
  • Social media links
  • Photos to make it more visual appealing
